Marsala is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2015

Marsala is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2015

Last year we were entranced with Radiant Orchid, which hey we loved here at Nuvonium, because of it echoing some of our own colors. But it’s a new year and Radiant Orchid has had its day, time for Marsala.

It’s been a long time since Pantone has had this rich of a color, I personally couldn’t be more pleased. It is a red however, it has undertones of a brown which is extremely versatile. It’s warm and spicy like a good wine should be. Leatrice Eisman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute says they were looking for a color which “spoke to people’s needs, for nurturing, for something more robust”.

This one is right up my alley, I love it especially paired with with its complementary colors in the teal/aqua spectrum. Though its grounded enough to be paired with just about any color. Have a look at this years color, Marsala.
